Window

Can you look out the window with me?
What in the world do you see?
Can that be a big blue tree?
No! That just cannot be!

Maybe we’ll take one more look,
Find a bird that loves a good book.
As he reads it in the blue tree’s nook,
Behind him, an enchanting brook.

Maybe we’ll take one more glance,
And fall into a deep trance.
As we watch the animals dance,
Joining in on their prance.

Maybe we’ll take one more peek,
Hearing the wildlife speak.
To me, it all sounds like Greek,
Which I hope to learn in a week.

Maybe we’ll take one more glimpse,
Starting to act out like chimps.
No one will think we are wimps,
Even if we run into imps.
